This concert film portrays the life of blues and jazz singer Albert Hunter, who began singing in Chicago in 1912 as a teenager and enjoyed a forty-year career. For this film, Hunter opened her archives to producer/director Stuart Goldman, and also provided the last filmed interview prior to her death in 1984.
