Drawing from a wealth of experience in the music industry, MP&E Associate Professor Prince Charles Alexander demonstrates the powerful tools available in Pro Tools and Logic for beat-mapping, elastic time and audio quantization, and tempo calculation. Using Beyoncé's Single ladies (put a ring on it), he demos multiple ways to accomplish time-stretching and other audio and tempo manipulation, and finishes the presentation by addressing the importance of pushing the envelope musically, while being steeped in current trends and knowing the pulse of the industry.
