But a meeting of minds at the New York venue Max's Kansas City was the catalyst for a turnaround of fortunes for these three musicians, resulting in the most dramatic shift in musical style since the dawn of the rock age. This film investigates the era in which these brilliant, creative personalities worked most closely together.
