520 | 0 | . | ‡aJason Booth, Berklee alumnus, is interviewed by Film Scoring faculty member Michael Sweet on topics ranging from his beginnings in the video game industry working with the DirectMusic engine, how video game companies work, to some of his recent work with Harmonix designing the Pro Guitar mode for Rock Band 3. The audience is treated to a preview of the two types of guitar controllers that will be available and the notation system Jason helped develop for Pro Guitar Mode. Also shown are looks at how the audio works in the Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons online games. Jason takes questions from the audience and told students aspiring to make it into the video industry to start working on games now, while in school, even if that means starting up a company yourself. |
